O Fortuna is a spin off of the project Fortuna Populi.

The specific lucky charms in this case goes to the countries that where pejoratively called “PIIGS” from the media during the finance crisis of 2008: Portugal, Ireland, Italy, Greece and Spain.

Some of this Countries received a Bailout.

During this crisis and still in Europe, the Risk Premium in economy is always compared with Germany because the public debt of this country has the less risk to be unpaid.

This means automatically that buying bonus of all the other countries supposes a risk.

O Fortuna is an installation that visualises the highest Risk Premium of this five countries during the crisis period of time, in form of a bar chart.

Specific lucky charms for Portugal, Ireland, Italy, Greece and Spain over pedestals witch height is proportional to the highest risk premium of each of them and that form the bar chart.

The lucky charms are done with the numerology system using the date of their highest risk premium.

An intervention of the actual Carmina Burana Text version Oh Fortuna is also showed and translated into Portuguese, English, Italian, Greek and Spanish.
